      As a New York City psychologist in private practice for over three decades, Joel has had the honor of making a positive difference in many lives. He is a New York State licensed and board certified clinical psychologist,  dedicated to providing his clients with a high level of skill and understanding.  Dr. Stukalin's kindness and empathy, complement his expertise, to guide the clients' inner psychological resources toward health.

     With four advanced-university degrees in psychology, Joel has honed specialist credentials in clinical psychology, marriage counseling, child counseling, psychoanalysis and cognitive-behavioral therapy.  In recognition of his professional accomplishments, he has been appointed as a chairperson by The American Board of Professional Psychology in the official examination of other specialists in clinical psychology. He has been enjoyed by psychology interns and supervisees as an attuned and supportive mentor, as well.

     Joel is happy to serve his community as a psychologist working in one of the world's great cosmopolitan areas.  He believes this presents a significant opportunity for helping such a rich variety of wonderful people from many different cultures.  His flexible, supportive approach appeals to many different types of clients.
